If paying by credit card proceed to the Paypal buttons. Be sure to choose the selection that matches your printed Registration Form and follow the PayPal instructions to complete your payment.

IMPORTANT: Print a copy of the PayPal receipt and send it with the Registration Form that you mail in.

There will also be on-site registration. Keep in mind there are limited sessions, so you should register ahead of time.

Detailed Registration Information

Graduate Course
“Substance Abuse and Society”. DO NOT register for this course using the conference registration form. Please contact Cathy Reiner at vsias@mindspring.com to let her know of your interest in the course and she will send you the information you will need.

Working Scholarship
If you are applying for a working scholarship, your application must be in to Ron Pritchard by 30 April. Instructions are on the HOME page. If confirmed as a Master Facilitator other instructions will follow.

Conference Fees (include sessions and breaks)

Early Registration Fee (begins March 31 - ends May 31)
Three Days: $285  
One Day: $125

Regular Registration Fee (begins May 31)

On-Site Registration Fee (July 19, 20, 21)

Only Agency/Organization checks will be excepted. No Personal Checks accepted.

Award’s Luncheon ticket $12.00, must be included when making your registration payment either by check, purchase order, no personal checks accepted. No tickets will be sold on-site.

Sunday, July 18, 2010 from 5 PM to 7 PM we will be handing our registration packets.

Cancellation Fee
Notice of registration cancellation must be made in writing to the Registrar of the VSIAS at vsias@mindspring.com. If you cancel up until July 5, 2010, then there will be a $50 fee for canceling. If you cancel after July 5, 2010, then there will be a $75 fee for canceling. Reimbursement will be by check if there is a cancellation.

Lunch  

Lunch will be on your own with the exception of the Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, July 21, 2010. If you wish to attend, you must register and pay for this lunch with your registration. We will not be selling tickets to attend the luncheon at the conference.
Deadline to register for the Awards Luncheon is June 20, 2010

Cost for the Awards Luncheon is $12.00.

Lunch Box selections will be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Cost for Lunch Box meals is $12.00 and must be paid for with your reservation.

The menu is:

Day one lunchbox menu: Turkey Club or Veggie Sandwich, Chips, Brownie and a Beverage.

Day two lunchbox menu: Pit-Smoked Ham & Swiss on Marbled Rye Sandwich or Veggie Sandwich, Chips, Cookie and a Beverage.

Day three lunchbox menu: Chicken Caesar Wrap, Chips, dessert and a Beverage or a Veggie Wrap, Chips dessert and a Beverage. (Meals may vary slightly) 

Anyone who is taking the Clinical Supervision Track Monday and Tuesday with Gerard Lawson and Wednesday with Steven Nielsen will need to have pre-ordered their box lunch OR have purchased a meal in advance elsewhere, and have brought it with you to your session. There will not be time to go out to get a meal. Box lunches that were pre-ordered for these sessions will be delivered to the room where your session is located. Deadline to register for a box lunch is June 20, 2010.

Workshops
Pre-register for all workshop preferences. Skills-building workshops are limited to specific numbers and assigned on a first-come (by the date of registration) basis. For those workshops not limited in number, pre-registration is important in order to best accommodate space requirements. All registrations must be mailed in to: VSIAS 2010, P.O. Box 29726, Richmond, VA 23242-0726.

Once your registration and payment have been received by VSIAS, you will receive a  registration confirmation by e-mail. Bring a copy with you. VSIAS will not provide you with a record of workshop choices on-site. If your employer registers for you, please get your registration confirmation from your employer.

Handouts
No print copies of handouts will be provided. Handouts will be available for download at www.vsias.org.

Accommodations
The Williamsburg Hospitality House: Rates are $94.00 Single and Double Occupancy, plus 10% (state and local tax) plus $2/room/night.
The above rates are State/Federal Per Diem. All rates are subject to state and local taxes, currently 10% sales tax (state and local sales taxes combined) and $2.00 per room per night Williamsburg occupancy tax. Taxes are subject to change.
In the event that the state government per diem rises prior to the arrival date, the guest room rate will be adjusted accordingly. In the event that the per diem rate drops prior to the arrival date, the guest room will remain $94.00.

We are not providing dorm rooms, as the conference is not at The College of William and Mary this year.

Parking
There is free parking at the Williamsburg Hospitality House on a first come basis. There is no shuttle bus transportation.

Certificates of Attendance
Certificates must be verified by stamp or code at each session to receive credit for session attendance. 

Continuing Education Units
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will again be available from The College of William and Mary. You will need to complete the form on the back of the certificate of attendance and have it authorized by William and Mary staff on Wednesday prior to leaving the conference. The fee for CEUs is $10 and certificates will be mailed after the conclusion of the conference by The College of William & Mary.

Intellectual Property
The Virginia Summer Institute for Addiction Studies (VSIAS) respects each conference participants' rights to copyright ownership and privacy.

Copyright ownership
The copyright to any works created by a participant for a VSIAS conference remains with that participant. VSIAS requires only enough permission to be able to make use of those works for the normal purposes of its conferences, such as display to attendees, reproduction and distribution of hand-outs to attendees, and the like.

Privacy
VSIAS maintains strict confidentiality with respect to participants’ personal information, including phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and employer information.  Such information will not be provided to parties outside VSIAS without express written consent from the participant.
